Dress Code

DRESS CODE

 

Kirby Muxloe Golf Club aims to maintain the highest standard of dress both on the course and in the clubhouse. To achieve this all members and visitors are expected to observe the requirements of our dress code below.

We respectfully request, therefore, that you help to avoid putting the Club’s staff or members in a position where it is necessary for them to bring the Dress Code to you or your guests’ attention

Members are reminded that they are responsible for their guest(s) whilst they are at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club – this includes their standard of dress

ON THE COURSE (including the Driving Range and Practice Facilities)

Members, their guests and visitors who fail to observe the Dress Code will not be allowed access to the golf course.

 

GENTLEMEN

SHOES              

Shoes designed for golf must be worn. The wearing of soft spikes or dimple golf shoes is obligatory from 1st April until 31st October. This restriction may be amended by the Council in extreme weather conditions.

 

TROUSERS, SHORTS & SOCKS

Tailored shorts (not below the knee) are to be worn with either knee length socks or white sports socks that are visible

 NOT PERMITTED

Sports, beach, boxer or swimming shorts.

Long trousers with external pockets/combat style.

Mid-calf, cargo/combat style shorts or shorts with external pockets.

Socks that are not visible above the shoe.

 

SHIRTS 

Shirts must be tucked into the waistband of the trouser or shorts at all times.

The new style “turtle neck” shirts are permitted.

NOT PERMITTED

Collarless or sleeveless shirts (unless the shirt is specifically designed for the playing of golf) or shirts worn as such, printed t- shirts, football/rugby style shirts.

 

HEAD GEAR

Baseball caps may be worn but with the peak at the front (not turned up)

 

GENERAL

The wearing of denim clothing and jeans, tracksuit or shell suits is not permitted.

 

LADIES

 SHOES

Sleeveless shirts are permitted.

Collarless shirts are not permitted (unless the shirt is specifically designed for the playing of golf)

 

In any query regarding the Dress Code on the Course the Professional is the final arbiter.

 

IN THE CLUBHOUSE

Member(s), their guest(s) and visitors who fail to observe the Dress Code may not be served at the Bar or in the Dining Room and will be asked to leave the Clubhouse.

 

GENERAL

Clean, smart casual dress.

Caps or hats must not be worn

Damp or soiled golfing attire is not considered appropriate outside of the Changing Rooms

Gentlemen’s’ tailored shorts (not below the knee) may be worn

Shoes or sandals must be worn at all times – trainers and/or flip flops are not acceptable.

 

SHIRTS (NOT PERMITTED )

Printed T-shirts, football or rugby style shirts, tracksuits, shell suits, sleeveless or collarless shirts (unless the shirt is specifically designed for the playing of golf)

               

SHORTS (NOT PERMITTED )

THE DINING ROOM

After 7.00pm during the week and at all times on Saturdays and Sundays golfers are required to change out of the clothes in which they have played golf prior to entering the Dining Room.

 

SOCIETY AND TEAM MATCHES

Diners after 7.00pm are expected to have changed out of their golf attire.

 

In any query regarding the Dress Code in the Clubhouse a Council member or the Bar Manager is the final arbiter.
