DRESS CODE

Kirby Muxloe Golf Club aims to operate a contemporary and forward-thinking dress policy, commensurate with a modern-day golf club.

It is in all our interests to maintain high standards of casual but smart dress in keeping with golf traditions. Golfers at the club are therefore made aware that the following are the guidelines which must be adhered to both on the golf course and in the clubhouse.

  1. ON THE COURSE (does not include the Driving Range and Practice Facilities)

Members, their guests and visitors who fail to observe the Dress Code will not be allowed access to the golf course.

A1. GENTLEMEN

Acceptable

Traditional or contemporary clothing and footwear specifically designed for golf. The wearing of soft spikes or dimple golf shoes is obligatory from 1st April until 31st October. This restriction may be amended by the Council in extreme weather conditions. Shirts must be tucked in. Shorts should be tailored and worn with white sports socks or knee length socks of any colour. Caps must be worn peak forward. Hoodies that have come from a recognised golf wear supplier may be worn but the hood cannot be up in the clubhouse.

Not Acceptable

  • Denim, cargo, combat trousers or shorts, gym type shorts or tracksuit bottoms.
  • Rugby, football, tee shirts, tracksuit, or sun tops.

A2. LADIES

Acceptable

Shoes designed for golf must be worn. The wearing of soft spikes or dimple golf shoes is obligatory from 1st April until 31st October. This restriction may be amended by the Council in extreme weather conditions. Tailored shorts. Sleeveless shirts are permitted. Collarless shirts are not permitted (unless the shirt is specifically designed for the playing of golf) Hoodies that have come from a recognised golf wear supplier may be worn but the hood cannot be up in the clubhouse.

Not acceptable.

The wearing of denim clothing and jeans, tracksuit or shell suits is not permitted.  

In any query regarding the Dress Code on the Course the Professional is the final arbiter.

 

          2. IN THE CLUBHOUSE (includes the Patio)

Member(s), their guest(s) and visitors who fail to observe the Dress Code may not be served at the Bar or in the Dining Room and may be asked to leave the Clubhouse. 

Acceptable

  • Smart casual clothing is always acceptable unless a particular function requires a specific dress code.

Not Acceptable

  • Golf shoes
  • Waterproofs, wet, dirty, ripped clothing or workwear
  • Stocking feet or bare feet.
  • Headwear of any description unless worn on religious grounds.
  • T Shirts with offensive logos   
  • Sports, Beach, or swimming shorts

In any query regarding the Dress Code in the Clubhouse a Council member or the Bar Manager is the final arbiter.
